AI is one of the most transformative tools of our time. It can revolutionize education, healthcare, art, and scientific research, but unchecked AI poses risks to our safety, privacy, and planet. My administration will ensure that AI is safe, ethical, and environmentally responsible, while still allowing innovation to thrive

Under my presidency I will pressure Congress to;

1. Create safe public access laws

• Only AI models meeting strict safety standards will be available to the public.
• General-purpose AI (like basic chat assistants) will be permitted but models capable of creating illegal or high-risk content will be restricted.
• Public AI access will include age verification and usage monitoring to ensure responsible use.

2. Protect minors and vulnerable groups

• AI will not be capable of generating sexualized content involving minors or non-consenting adults.
• Developers will implement real-time content filters to prevent abuse.
• Violations will carry strong legal accountability for developers and operators.
• AI will be encouraged for safe purposes like education, creativity and professional productivity.

3. Oversight & accountability 

• Advanced AI will be used by government agencies for cyber security, defense and critical infrastructure under my strict oversight.
• AI operations will be audited regularly with clear and public reporting requirements. Fully transparent for the public.
• AI companies will be required to publish annual transparency reports on capabilities, content safeguards and environmental impact.

4. Environmental responsibility

• AI operations will be required to minimize water and energy consumption.
• Incentives will support air-cooling, geothermal cooling and renewable energy to reduce environmental impact.
• AI companies will be required to publish public reports their carbon and water footprint annually.
