Every American has the constitutional right to bear arms. But with that right comes responsibility, not only to yourself, but to your family, and your community to handle firearms safely, protect those around us, and respect the power that comes with carrying a weapon.

My policies will protect your Second Amendment right, while promoting common-sense safety and adapting to the current climate.

Under my presidency, I will pressure Congress to;

1. Stronger Background Checks

Every applicant will complete:

• Criminal history screening

• Driving record review for violent or reckless behavior

These checks focus on safety while respecting lawful gun owners.

2. Safety Training Before Purchase

Before approval, applicants complete:

• Comprehensive firearm safety education

• Supervised range practice (60-100 hours, ideally to be discussed)

This ensures every gun owner understands safe handling, storage, and responsible use.

3. Annual Certification for Public Carry

Gun owners with open or concealed carry permits will complete:

• Yearly safety refreshers

• Skills certification

Carrying in public is a responsibility. Regular training keeps skills sharp and communities safer.

 

Americans who complete firearm safety training, skills certification, or annual carry refreshers can qualify for a refundable federal tax credit to help cover the costs. 

4. Mental Health Support — Voluntary and Respectful

Mental health evaluations are optional, but participation may qualify gun owners for:

• Reduced application fees

• Purchase credits

• Possible tax incentives

This encourages wellness without forcing evaluations or creating registries.
