Native American Rights & Land Protection Act

For generations, Native Americans have walked this land. They have lived in harmony with this earth long before any borders were drawn. And yet, time and again, their voices were silenced, treaties broken, and their sacred places taken by force.
While I cannot speak for them, we have a chance to do what is right. To protect the lands that have sustained generations, to honor the treaties and promises that were broken, and to ensure that sacred places are preserved for the children yet to come.
This isn’t just about one community or one people, it’s about who we are as a nation, about how we value respect, heritage, and the dignity of every human being.

We honor the past, protect the present, and build a future together.

Under my presidency I will;

1. Protect existing tribal lands

  • Strengthen the BIA to ensure tribal lands under federal trust remain protected from illegal encroachment or development.
  • Conduct a nationwide audit of treaties to identify areas where tribes' rights are not fully enforced.
  • No displacement guarantee.

2. Preserve culture and sacred sites

  • Fund the creation of a federal registry of burial ground, ceremonial sites and culturally significant locations in consultations with tribes'.

  • Require tribal consultation in all federal land projects affecting culturally significant areas.
  • Provide grants for schools and museums to teach Native American history and traditions ensuring every community understand the significance of this land.

3. Return or co-manage public lands

  • Identify federal lands that can be returned or placed in tribal trusts (national forests, unused federal property, conservation areas)

  • Implement co-management agreements where tribes' and federal agencies oversee ecological restoration, tourism and protection of sacred sites.

4. Economic growth and community development

  • Direct more funding to tribal communities for clean water, housing and healthcare.

  • Provide federal loans and grants to support tribal-owned businesses, renewable energy projects and eco-tourism ventures.
  • Encourage agreements between tribal businesses and nearby towns to create shared employment and revenue opportunities.

5. Modernize laws and resolve historical grievances

  • Streamline the federal recognition process for tribes seeking official status.

  • Expand tribal jurisdiction over criminal, civil and environmental matters on tribal land.
  • Prioritize land restitution or co-management agreements over monetary compensation when settling historical land disputes.

6. Include native voices in government

  • Host annual White House summits with tribal leaders to address land, culture and economic issues
  • Invest in education and leadership programs to prepare Native Americans for careers in government, law and entrepreneurship.
